When replacing wooden horse trailer floors DO NOT use normal plywood; it will rot and weaken quickly and the consequences can be devestating. For avoidance of doubt, consult a professional. Wooden Panels
If your horse trailer has wooden panels they will need treating to prevent them from perishing over time. Use specialist wood oils for the best results. We don't recommend painting or varnishing wooden panels as it will soon start to flake off and look untidy.Top Tip: Towinghorsetrailers.co.uk heard on the grapevine that hydraulic oil works just as well as specialist wood oils on wooden panels – it was duly tested and found to bring Penny's old horse trailer up a treat!
