Single horse trailer

Modern single horse trailers are available that carry either one horse or pony, or are capable of carrying a mare and foal. Useful for horses who won’t travel in company or who don’t like partitions, their low weight means that they can often be towed by a normal car rather than a 4x4 and can offer a useful option to those drivers without the B+E category on their driving licence.

Double horse trailer

Two-horse trailers come in a variety of sizes and specifications to suit horses of all shapes and sizes, from ponies through to 17.2hh+ hunters.

Multiple horse trailer

Horse trailers designed to carry three or more horses are generally limited in that they can’t carry more than two large horses (with the exception of the Wessex Treble) due to weight restrictions, but are useful for those with several ponies or for Pony Club families with ponies of varying sizes and also for those who want to travel two very big horses with extra room for tack. Modern variations include three, four and even five pony models.

Horse trailer with a living area or tack room space

Bridging the gap that has, until recently, set motorised horseboxes apart from horse trailers, a number of modern horse trailers also offer living or tack room space, making life far more comfortable for those who travel long distances to compete but don’t want the expense of running and maintaining another vehicle.

Designed to meet the demands of driving enthusiasts, these horse trailers are designed to accommodate two horses and most sizes of carriage comfortably.
